Student Rights, Concerns, and Disclosures

±¬ÁÏ³Ô¹Ï provides students with certain information regarding the College, its programs, services, and practices as required by the Student Right-to-Know and Campus Security Act, enacted in 1990 (34 CFR Part 668). This information includes a variety of academic information;Ìýinformation regarding financial assistance;Ìýinstitutional information;Ìýcompletion rate, retention rate, or graduation rate information;ÌýCollege security policies and crime statistics;Ìýathletic participation rates;Ìýand financial aid.ÌýTo assist you in easily locating and using this information, we are providing theÌýreference list below.

We feel it's important that, as a student, you know yourÌýrights and responsibilities, whichÌýreflect Western's valuesÌý— excellence, diversity,Ìýintegrity, and respect. It's also important for you to have the opportunity to let us know if we're not living up to those values.

Reporting Concerns or Incidents

  • Ìý-ÌýTo report alleged violations of academic integrity, such as cheating, plagiarism, fabrication, etc.
  • Ìý- To report hate or bias incidents based on gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, or disability.
  • - All students, staff and visitors are encouraged to report any crimes, safety concerns, suspicious activities or other conflicts that occur on or around any Western campus.Ìý
  • Ìý- If you are concerned about a student who may beÌýin extreme distress or may engage in harmful or disruptive behaviors.
  • Ìý-ÌýTo submit a compliment, suggestion or concern regarding Western personnel, services, programs or activities, processes, or facilities.
  • -ÌýStudents, faculty, staff, and members of the public may submit a concern to Western’s accrediting agency to identify substantive problems with the college.
  • Ìý-ÌýTo report an accident resulting in injury, an illness/medical emergency, or a workplace/learning environment injury.
  • Ìý-ÌýTo report an incident involving an allegation of sex-based harassment, such as, sexual assault, relationship violence, domestic violence, stalking, hostile environment, quid pro quo and/or any sex discrimination such as sex stereotypes, sex characteristics, pregnancy or related conditions, sexual orientation, and gender identity and or any incidents of discrimination based on a protected characteristic.ÌýÌý
  • Ìý-ÌýTo report any student behavior concerns/potential violations of the Student Code of Conduct.
